Manaus -
Notícias Copa 2014
Cuiabá is the city that more he/she skates in their plans. His/her previous project cost R$ 350 million, the one now cost R$ 430 million; the bleachers had his/her reduced capacity (before he/she would have 48.000, now he/she will have 42.500) and it still negotiated, without auction, an architecture office and an international consultancy, spending, respectively, R$ 14,2 and R$ 4,2 million.
Brasília, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte, that fight to receive the opening departure, they also already accomplished modifications. The federal capital increased R$ 178 million to Mané Garrincha's modernization (before it would cost R$ 522 million and now it will cost R$ 700 million). THE project of Morumbi is being redone and it will be presented in September; Fifa didn't like the press area, of the space for guests and of the covering. Belo Horizonte at least estimated the cost of the reform of Mineirão.
In Manaus-Am, the government will arch with the costs of reform of the stadium, however it got to lessen them in relation to the original project, that it would cost R$ 580 million, now it will be necessary to invest “just” R$ 400 million. Already in Salvador, Fifa vetoed 5.000 places in the New Source.
Stadium: Vivaldão - 43 thousand places (48 thousand for the Cup)
In favor: The project of Manaus leans on in a “maintainable candidacy”, in other words, the works and reforms should not have a fort environmental impact. Besides, the city attracts plenty of tourists, what can help to not to leave the infrastructure of the idle Cup.
Against: The urban mobility in the capital amazonense leaves plenty to want. It is common there to be jams downtown. The airport needs to be reformed, therefore he/she doesn't have capacity to assist the demand that an event as the Copa Mundo would provide. He/she also needs to increase his/her hotel net to receive an event of this importance.
Projects:
The focus of the city will be to enlarge his/her hotel net, to increase their gastronomical options and, above all, to modernize the systems of urban mobility.
The airport will also go by reforms. The passengers' station will pass 43 thousand m² for 80 thousand m². The value of this work around R$ 192 million. The enlargement of the patio and of the tracks of the airport R$ 600 million should cost, and they should be ready in 2013.
Current Vivaldão would be demolished and in his/her place it would be raised an arena multiuso. The investment would be around R$600 million. The stadium, however, it would be idle after the Cup, once the soccer in the area is very little representative (the last club to dispute the Series was HER the National, in 1986, therefore 23 years ago).
The government plans to invest to put a team in the Series THE or Série B of the Brazilian, increasing like this the use and the attractiveness of the departures. However, for not depending just of the soccer, the government intends to use Vivaldão in other sporting events, international megashows and even religious cults.

The Estádio Vivaldo files, that now, floodgate a public of 32.000 fans, after the construction of the new Arena, will have capacity to assist up to 48.000 people, being distributed like this: 43.000 expectants and 5.000 destined to the area vip and the press.
